Despite construction going on all around at the facility,
and a computer crash that ultimately lost all the scores for
the event, the October 13, 2005 Central Coast Claims Bowling
"tournament" went off without a hitch.
"We have no ability to declare a winner," said CCCA
President Clarette Hook. "But everyone had a great
time."
Some cried foul when told of the computer crash. The manager
of Oakridge Lanes apologized profusely, but what can you
do?
Could there be a re-do in the cards... uh, on the lanes?
Will tensions between competitors demand that the pins be
racked up again before next year's planned event? Will
someone roll a perfect 300???
For now, it's fair to say that tempers are in check, and
would-be winners can relive the day in their memories as the
ultimate conquest they were sure it truly was.
