Shelly Lefore to Assume the Presidency for 2009 The past few years have seen the Central Coast Claims Association not only basically re-invent itself, but in so doing the organization has taken strides in its charitable pursuits. The November 20, 2008 luncheon meeting bore fruit of those efforts. The sixth annual CCCA Bowling Tournament, held October 2, 2008, surpassed even the grand fund-raising success of the year before, as member contributions and sponsorships helped the CCCA raise $4,500 to benefit Angel Flight West. Angel Flight is an organization of volunteer private pilots who do whatever they are called upon to handle in helping those in outlying areas who are in need of hospital and/or doctor attention get there. On hand at the November luncheon was CCCA Member and Angel Flight Volunteer Pilot, Bob Tucknott, of Tucknott Electric Company, to accept the CCCA donation on behalf of Angel Flight West. In graciously accepting this noble contribution, Bob explained the realities of Angel Flight West's charter, assuring all that the funds are greatly needed for support staff to be able to continue their wonderful work. CCCA Nominations Committee CoChair, Ray Depa, then ran the election of 2009 CCCA Officers. Nominated, seconded, and unanimously elected were the following: President Shelly Lefore, Casualty Adjusters' Guide; VP John Stackhouse, EFI Global; Sec Cindy Wax, JM Construction; and Treasurer Genevieve Capone, CIG. Jenny Li, of Low, Ball & Lynch, then gave an informative presentation on dealing with Slip/Trip and Fall Claims. |
