May You Find the Eight Foot Trees

May 2007 message from
CCCA President, Denise Garcia

Not only did April bring out another great crowd, but another great speaker as well! A big Thank You to Kevin Rainbolt of AIG. The Western Regional SIU Manager was entertaining as he informed us on detecting fraudulent claims.

Our speaker for May will be Jack Tjeerdsma to discuss Mediation Resources. Don’t forget to make your reservation with Cindy Hart of JM Construction at cindyh@jm-const.com.

I don’t think there’s any doubt that summer is upon us. Time for family, friends, beaches, barbecues and GOLF! Yes, Golf! The CCCA’s 50th Annual Golf Tournament is here and will be held once again at the Coyote Creek Golf Course in Morgan Hill!

<<A grandfather and grandson were playing golf together. On a severely dog-legged par 4, the grandfather told the grandson, "When I was your age, I'd aim right over those trees and hit the green every time." The grandson thought about that comment and decided to give it a try. He hit a perfect drive, but it landed right in the middle of the 50 ft trees. The grandson looked sadly at the grandfather who said, "Of course when I was your age, those trees were 8 feet tall." >>

If you haven’t signed up already, don’t be left out, contact Deanie Pearson with Apollo Restoration at deanie@apolloes.net or call me! Not a golfer? Please join us for the banquet dinner immediately following the golf, tickets can be purchased separately. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Most of you know our monthly luncheons are held at the Black Angus Restaurant on Saratoga and Keily. We really are out growing the venue and have been looking for a new location. If anyone has any suggestions, please email or call me. Thank you to everyone for your support of the Central Coast Claims Association. It’s because of you that we need this larger venue! Let’s keep it growing!

Don’t forget about the upcoming events: In September we have our Claims Conference of Northern California, “Bridging the Industry”. October will bring a rematch of our bowling tournament as we continue our support of Angel Flight West. More information to follow!

I hope everyone finds time to enjoy the warm weather and don’t forget to leave out an extra bowl of water for the pets! See you soon.
