Moving Forward in Remembrance
March 2008 message from
CCCA President, Denise Garcia
What an amazing job Paul Kayfetz did at the February luncheon. If you missed this one, you really missed out! Paul dazzled us all with his video simulation presentation, recreating accidents to the smallest detail. With Paul on the claim, you are guaranteed to know exactly how an accident happened and who could have avoided it!
It’s been another tough month for the claims Industry. I just found out about the passing of Marlon England, an active member in the claims industry, and a person who will truly be missed. News travels quickly in our industry and I thought I was receiving the same call about Marlon when a friend called me to say she had bad news. John Solomon had had a massive heart attack and passed away Sunday, March 2nd. John had been an adjuster with David Morse and Associates, but was currently recovering from a knee replacement surgery that had been a great success! John was a dear friend and one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever had the privilege to know. He will be missed by many!
On the bright side, we are moving forward with our golf and bowling tournaments. Both give us means to donate money and help make a difference in peoples lives. The golf tournament will be held June 6th at Coyote Creek Golf Course in Morgan Hill. Ryon Hayward of ServiceMaster will be calling you soon, so get your foursomes together! To contact Ryon directly please email him at ryon@sharjo.com.
March Luncheon! I’m very excited to announce that John Hagerty of CIG Insurance will be speaking to us about Property Loss Causation Doctrines. John brings with him years of experience and knowledge and I’m sure we’ll all leave there just a little bit smarter. Especially after the pop quiz he intends to give! Thank you John for joining us.
MEMBERSHIP! If you have not paid your membership prior to the March Luncheon, you will have to pay the non member fee for your meal! Please RSVP with your lunch selection to cindyh@jm-const.com. Along with your membership is your subscription to the invaluable newsletter you’re holding in your hand! Don’t miss out on upcoming events and industry information.
Thanks again to everyone who helps out in making this a great organization! I’m truly proud to be a part of the CCCA and I’m ever so grateful to all those who make it happen.
Sincerely,
Denise Garcia
